What is ISO 45001?
ISO 45001 provides a framework for managing occupational health & safety risks and improving performance. It replaced the older OHSAS 18001 standard and uses the same high-level structure as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, making integrated management systems easier.
Is it mandatory in the UAE?
ISO 45001 is not a legal requirement, but many clients — particularly in construction, oil & gas, and government projects — require it for prequalification. Certification demonstrates a serious, systematic approach to safety.
